The role is telephone-based (both in and outbound calls) handling customers’ car insurance queries.
Grade D/3 GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English, computer literate and outgoing personality.
Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm or 10am to 7pm, alternate Saturdays 9am to 2pm.

Underwriting Sales Clerk: £20,000 – £27,000
Bonuses: up to £500 per month subject to performance
Good communication skills, basic computer skills, to have some confidence and be someone who is friendly, helpful and has an engaging personality.
Your duties will primarily be telephone based; receiving calls from prospective customers, taking all relevant information, providing quotations for motor insurance and securing the sale of the policy. Customers will need to be advised of policy details. You will take payments to initiate cover, deal with online quotations and contact customers that have requested call-backs.
Successful candidates will be given full training on our products and how to use the computer system. You will be trained in insurance underwriting and will learn sales techniques to help place and secure business. No previous sales experience is required but good communication skills that could translate to a confident and friendly telephone manner are essential for this position.

Hours of Work:
Flexible working pattern during the office opening hours of 9AM – 7PM Monday to Friday & Saturdays 9am – 2pm and/or Sundays 10am – 2pm on a rotation basis
Option to work shorter working patterns and no weekends are also available. More detail would be provided at interview on request.
