Customer Service Clerks

As a Customer Service Clerk, you will have the opportunity to earn a wide range of bonuses relating to performance-based targets. So, help us deliver our target of unrivalled service levels and join our team.

Salary

Packages Starting at £21,250 (experience dependent).

The role is telephone-based (both in and outbound calls) handling customers’ car insurance queries.

Requirements

Grade D/3 GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English, computer literate and outgoing personality.

Hours

Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm or 10am to 7pm, alternate Saturdays 9am to 2pm.

Duties

  • Offering our existing clients a complete customer care package.
  • Deal with incoming telephone enquiries covering a wide range of subjects in connection with our clients’ insurance.
  • Handle outstanding paperwork or payments, changes customers may wish to make to their policies, cancellation requests, renewing policies and any other general enquiries.
  • Full training is provided on our range of products, how best to meet our customers’ requirements and how to use the computer system.
  • Successful applicants must be customer focused and able to work in a high paced, versatile and dynamic team.
  • Previous customer service experience is not required, but a confident and friendly telephone manner and excellent communication skills are essential.

Sales Underwriting Clerks

Underwriting Sales Clerk: £20,000 – £27,000

Bonuses: up to £500 per month subject to performance

Location:

  1. Bishops Stortford

Requirements:

Good communication skills, basic computer skills, to have some confidence and be someone who is friendly, helpful and has an engaging personality.

The Role:

Your duties will primarily be telephone based; receiving calls from prospective customers, taking all relevant information, providing quotations for motor insurance and securing the sale of the policy. Customers will need to be advised of policy details. You will take payments to initiate cover, deal with online quotations and contact customers that have requested call-backs.

Successful candidates will be given full training on our products and how to use the computer system. You will be trained in insurance underwriting and will learn sales techniques to help place and secure business. No previous sales experience is required but good communication skills that could translate to a confident and friendly telephone manner are essential for this position.

Opportunities to earn generous bonus payments by reaching performance related targets are also available. Be part of a successful team and help drive the Company forward.

Hours of Work:

Flexible working pattern during the office opening hours of 9AM – 7PM Monday to Friday & Saturdays 9am – 2pm and/or Sundays 10am – 2pm on a rotation basis

Option to work shorter working patterns and no weekends are also available. More detail would be provided at interview on request.
