From there, take a four-hour drive from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sterling-insurance.co.uk\/blog\/driving-abroad\/ultimate-guide-driving-france\/\">port in France<\/a> to Remich in Luxembourg. I always stop here because it\u2019s got some of the cheapest fuel in Europe, and a full tank will get you to the next destination.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-day-2-luxembourg-to-austria-nbsp-nbsp\">Day 2 &#8211; Luxembourg to Austria&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Drive from Luxembourg to Innsbruck, Austria. You should get there in one tank of fuel. If you get there nice and early, you can take the cable car up to the <a href=\"https:\/\/nordkette.com\/en\/\">Nordkette<\/a>, which is the mountain range above Innsbruck. It is amazing.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can even stay the extra day and do the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tripadvisor.com\/ShowUserReviews-g190445-d11970251-r185887533-Nordkette-Innsbruck_Tirol_Austrian_Alps.html\">Nordkette Klettersteig<\/a>, which is <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Via_ferrata\">via ferrata<\/a> (protected climbing route) across the range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-day-3-exploring-austria-nbsp-nbsp\">Day 3 &#8211; Exploring Austria&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Spend the day exploring Innsbruck, where you can visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/ferrataguide.com\/ferrata\/Innsbrucker_Klettersteig\">klettersteig<\/a> and the town, or even take a local hike.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-day-4-austria-to-italy-nbsp-nbsp\">Day 4 &#8211; Austria to Italy&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Drive from Innsbruck to St. Magdalena, a beautiful village in Italy, to see the famous church and then head further up the valley to Malga Zannes, where you can begin the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alltrails.com\/en-gb\/trail\/italy\/south-tyrol\/via-delle-odle-zanser-alm-rifugio-delle-odle-malga-dusler\">Adolf Munkel Trail<\/a> for a beautiful day out. It\u2019s a 10km loop for moderate hikers.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-day-5-explore-one-of-europe-s-largest-alpine-meadows\">Day 5 &#8211; Explore one of Europe\u2019s largest alpine meadows<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Drive to Parkplatz Seiser Alm Bahn to get the cable car up to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.val-gardena.com\/en\/alpe-di-siusi-italy\/\">Alpe di Siusi<\/a>, one of the largest alpine meadows in Europe. Please note you can\u2019t drive up to the meadow unless you have a hotel booking. So you will need to either get a bus up, or take the cable car to explore the picturesque views. It\u2019s worth noting that there can be overnight parking bans for campervan parking at the cable car parking area.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-day-6-take-a-rest-day-and-enjoy-the-views\">Day 6 &#8211; Take a rest day and enjoy the views<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Just before the week is over, you should take a rest day. But don\u2019t rest too much, as you can make your way towards <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecommonwanderer.com\/blog\/lago-di-carezza-italy-guide\">Lago di Carezza\/Karersee<\/a> and take a small 60-minute walk around the lake, taking in beautiful views.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-day-7-take-a-tour-of-the-sella-ronda-mountains\">Day 7 &#8211; Take a tour of the Sella Ronda mountains<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Drive to Campitello di Fassa where you can get the \u201cCol Rodella\u201d cable car up to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tripadvisor.co.uk\/Attraction_Review-g194912-d6563698-Reviews-Passo_Sella-Selva_di_Val_Gardena_Val_Gardena_Province_of_South_Tyrol_Trentino_Alt.html\">Passo Sella<\/a>. From here you have a few options. If you get there early enough you can hike to \u201cRifugio Friedrich August\u201d to get some fresh Italian Krapfen (donuts) as seen on social media.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also take a tour around the whole of the Sella Ronda mountains, which is around 20km and will take you between six and eight hours.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-day-8-take-a-scenic-route-to-passo-giau-nbsp\">Day 8 &#8211; Take a scenic route to Passo Giau&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Drive to <a href=\"https:\/\/climbfinder.com\/en\/climbs\/passo-giau-selva-di-cadore\">Passo Giau<\/a> one of the most scenic and higher passes in the whole of the Dolomites. There, you can take a small walk around and stop at the rifugio, if you have time in the day to do this early.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the afternoon you can head to \u201cCinque Torri\u201d to see the old war ruins and spectacular five rock formations that climbers are often seen on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-day-9-take-a-trip-to-cortina-d-ampezzo-nbsp\">Day 9 &#8211; Take a trip to Cortina d\u2019Ampezzo&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Drive to Cortina d\u2019Ampezzo to explore the beautiful mountain town, grab some food from the supermarkets and some souvenirs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-day-10-visit-the-passo-tre-croci-nbsp\">Day 10 &#8211; Visit the Passo Tre Croci&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Make your way to Passo Tre Croci for the famous <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tripadvisor.co.uk\/Attraction_Review-g194745-d4939731-Reviews-Lago_di_Sorapiss-Cortina_d_Ampezzo_Province_of_Belluno_Veneto.html\">Lago di Sorapis<\/a> hike. Be aware, this will take up a large portion of your day, roughly four to six hours, as you do this stunning 10km walk to the serene alpine blue glacier lake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-day-11-take-in-the-views-of-tre-cime-national-park-nbsp\">Day 11 &#8211; Take in the views of Tre Cime National Park&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Drive only a short 30-minute trip up the road to \u201cLago di Antorno\u201d or Lake Antorno, where you can either drive up to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitdolomites.com\/page2\/tre-cime-natural-park-naturpark-drei-zinnen-2\/?lang=en\">Tre Cime Natural Park<\/a> early in the morning before the parking spaces get filled, or get some public transport up to Tre Cime.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From there you have a bucket full of easy-to-hard hikes. A simple suggestion would be to do the tour around the three towers. Also, there are many nice via ferrata routes from there, one moderate one I could recommend is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ferrate365.it\/en\/vie-ferrate\/ferrata-innerkofler-de-luca-monte-paterno\/\">Ferrata Innerkofler<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-day-12-final-stop-of-the-tour-nbsp\">Day 12 &#8211; Final stop of the tour&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Make your way to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecommonwanderer.com\/blog\/lago-di-braies-pragser-wildsee-dolomites-guide\">Pragser Wildsee<\/a> or \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tripadvisor.co.uk\/Attraction_Review-g1202638-d1520846-Reviews-Lago_di_Braies-Braies_Province_of_South_Tyrol_Trentino_Alto_Adige.html\">Lago di Braies<\/a>\u201d for your final stop of the tour.
